Vadeboncoeur claims his first-ever Athlete of the Week award after winning three events to help lead the Fighting Illini to a dual meet win over host California.  The sophomore qualified for the NCAA regional meet posting a personal best in the 200 meters (21.02), while also crossing the line first in the 400 meters (46.63).  In addition, the Winnepeg, Manitoba native ran a leg on the winning 4x400-meter relay team that clinched the meet victory for Illinois (3:08.95).  The Illini defeated the Golden Bears, 100-97.
