Brandstatter garners Athlete of the Week laurels after winning the decathlon title at the Mt. SAC Relays over the weekend.  The senior posted a top score of 7,641 points en route to automatically qualifying for the NCAA Championships in June.  The Ladysmith, Wis., native also qualified for the NCAA Midwest Regional meet after winning the 110-meter hurdles portion of the event with a time of 14.21.  Brandstatter also recorded the top javelin throw (195-6) and posted a personal best mark in the pole vault (15-9). 

This is the first-ever weekly accolade for Brandstatter.
