SR, 174, Richmond, Mich./Armada

Boudro won both his matches at 174 pounds over the weekend by major decision to help the Spartans take down Purdue on Feb. 3 and No. 7 Iowa this past Sunday.  The senior captain handled Purdue's Barry Jackson, 13-4, and then registered his 21st win of the season with a victory over Iowa's Ben Stedman, 14-4.  The win over Stedman clinched the No. 18 Spartans' 19-17 upset of the seventh-ranked Hawkeyes. Currently ranked fifth in the nation, Boudro is second on the team in major decisions with eight.

Highlighting This Week's Action...

The top-ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers will participate in the first annual ESPNU Double Sport Wrestling Invitational on Sunday in Oklahoma City, Okla. Oklahoma and Hofstra will meet in the first match at Noon, while Minnesota will meet No. 2 Oklahoma State at 2 p.m. ESPNU will broadcast both matches live.

Sunday will be the rematch of this year's National Duals final as Minnesota snapped the Cowboys' 30-match winning streak with a 21-14 win. In that match, top-ranked heavyweight Cole Konrad pinned two-time NCAA Champion Steve Mocco to clinch the upset. Mocco entered the match with 85 straight wins. Also in the dual, freshman phenom Dustin Schlatter upset defending NCAA Champion Zach Esposito at 149 pounds.

The Cowboys are currently 13-1 on the year, while the Golden Gophers are perfect with an 18-0 record. Oklahoma State has compiled a remarkable 117-12-1 record in the past six-plus seasons with Minnesota handing the Cowboys six of those losses.
