Pete Friedl, Illinois
JR, 174, Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg

Friedl had two key wins last week to lead Illinois to its second consecutive Big Ten Dual Meet title.  In his first match of the week, Friedl avenged an early season loss to No. 3 Jake Herbert of Northwestern with an 11-4 decision to hand Herbert his first loss of the season. The match had seed implications for the Big Ten Tournament. Friedl finished the weekend with a 6-3 win over Gabriel Dretsch of Minnesota to end the regular season with a 30-3 overall record and an unblemished 8-0 mark in the Big Ten. With the two wins, Friedl is one of the favorites for the No. 1 seed at the Big Ten Championships in two weeks.

Brady Reinke, Wisconsin
SR, 184, Phillips, Wis./Phillips

Competing in the last dual weekend of his college career, Reinke went 2-0 in defeating Minnesota's sixth-ranked Roger Kish and No. 17 Mike Tamillow of Northwestern.  Last Friday, Reinke beat Kish by a 10-8 decision scoring on three takedowns and four escapes, while on Sunday, he earned a 7-3 decision over Tamillow. Reinke finished the regular season as the only undefeated Badger wrestler going a perfect 13-0.

This is Reinke's first Wrestler of the Week award and Wisconsin's first since Ralph DeNisco on January 8, 2002.
