Davenport earns the final weekly award of 2005-06, after leading the Buckeyes with 20-plus scoring efforts in each of their three wins last week.  She started the week by scoring 22 points on 8-of-11 (.727) shooting in Ohio State's 69-38 win over No. 14/14 Michigan State last Monday.  The OSU junior added her 10th double-double of the season against No. 12/11 Purdue this past Thursday with 20 points and 10 rebounds, as well as four blocks, to help the Buckeyes clinch their first outright Big Ten championship wince 1985-86. Davenport closed the week Sunday with 24 points on 7-of-11 shooting, including 2-of-3 from three-point territory.  She recorded at least three blocked shots in all three contests and averaged 37.7 minutes of play for the week.

This is the fourth weekly award for Davenport this season.  Combined with her five Player of the Week selections last year, Davenport now has nine for her career, which ties her with Minnesota's Lindsay Whalen (2001-04) for second all-time in Big Ten history.  The record is 17, set by Penn State's Kelly Mazzante from 2001-04.
