Athlete of the Week

Jennifer Leatherman, Penn State

Leatherman collects the Athlete of the Week award after two first-place performances over the weekend at the Nittany Lion Relays.  The junior All-American broke the Penn State and facility record in the hammer throw with an NCAA regional qualifying toss of 199-06.  The Yellville, Ark., native also tossed a personal best in the shot put with another regional mark of 51-11.75.  Penn State defeated Pittsburgh in the team competition, 101.5-88.5.

This is the first weekly award of Leatherman's career.
